Keep your green weed on the hook and spend less time rebaiting.
Three pre-tied Luderick Green Weed Bait-Holder Leaders. These use an adjustable monofilament loop to gently secure green weed, string weed or lettuce weed close to the hook. Place a small bunch of weed inside the loop then slide the wool stopper knot down until the bait is held securely.
Each one-metre leader is tied from light 6lb monofilament and fitted with a genuine #6 Mustad green Needle Sneck hook. The green hook blends naturally with weed bait, while the fine leader provides the subtle presentation needed when estuary luderick are shy or biting cautiously.
Why this luderick leader works:
• Adjustable bait-holder loop helps stop green weed from falling off
• Wool stopper knot lets you control the tension around the bait
• Light 6lb monofilament for a natural estuary presentation
• Genuine #6 Mustad green Needle Sneck hook
• Green hook finish blends with green weed and lettuce weed
• One-metre pre-tied leader
• Top connection loop fits easily into a snap swivel
• Three complete luderick leaders per pack
• Suitable for luderick, also known as blackfish
How to use it:
-
Place a small bunch of green weed or lettuce weed through the bait-holder loop.
-
Slide the wool stopper knot down to close the loop gently around the bait.
-
Connect the loop at the top of the leader to your snap swivel.
-
Add one or two small split shot to suit your float, depth and current.
-
Adjust your float depth and you’re ready to fish.
This is an especially useful luderick rig for estuaries, harbour edges, pontoons, bridges and rock walls. Blackfish can be cautious and a light natural presentation makes the difference.
