When the bream want chips, you’d better serve ‘em hot. 🍟

Hand-poured in small batches in Australia — every Kurinku 75 is a one-of-a-kind fry.

From Manly Wharf to Harry’s Café de Wheels in Woolloomooloo, there’s one thing Sydney’s urban anglers all know — toss a chip in the water and watch the chaos unfold. The water boils as big bream, trevally, and even flathead rise from the depths for their favourite snack.

Inspired by those legendary moments around Sydney Harbour, Barangaroo, and the Fish Market wharves, we created a soft plastic lure that captures the look, feel, and flavour of a real Aussie fry-up.

🎣 Meet the Kurinku 75 — “The Hot Chip”

Crafted with a crinkle-cut ribbed body and lifelike fall, the Kurinku 75 mimics a golden fry drifting down through the current. It’s the perfect match for bream, whiting, estuary perch, and any fish that can’t resist a salty snack.

🍟 Features & Design

  • Crinkle-Cut Ribbed Body: Vibrates through the water like a drifting chip tossed from the table at Sydney Fish Market.

  • 75 mm “Snack Size” Profile: Ideal for finicky urban feeders like bream, whiting, and flathead.

  • Soft Salted Plastic: Adds natural taste and texture — they’ll bite and hold on.

  • Natural Sink Rate: Designed to flutter and fall like a chip slipping through the current.

  • Aussie-Tested Durability: Built tough for fishing under wharves, bridges, and pontoons across Sydney Harbour, Brisbane River, and Melbourne Docklands. Urban fishing at its finest!

🌊 Best Used For

Urban Bream Fishing – perfect around wharves, ferry docks, and sea walls
Sydney Harbour & Estuary Fishing – bream, whiting, trevally, luderick, and flathead
City & Suburban HotspotsWoolloomooloo, Rose Bay, Manly Wharf, Darling Point, Southbank Melbourne, Brisbane Riverwalk, and Perth Harbour

💡 How to Fish It

Cast the Kurinku 75 Hot Chip beneath jetty shadows, pontoon edges, or beside moored boats. Let it flutter down naturally — like a stray chip tossed by a hungry tourist. Add a gentle twitch, pause, and wait for the tap-tap that screams bream on the bite.

Use a light jig head (1/20 – 1/8 oz) or go weedless for skipping under pontoons. Works brilliantly in both salt and brackish water, especially in Sydney Harbour, Lake Macquarie, and Gold Coast Broadwater.

🧂 The Story Behind the Snack

The Kurinku 75 isn’t just another soft plastic — it’s a tribute to Aussie fishing culture. From the backstreets of Woolloomooloo to the lights of Darling Harbour, we’ve watched big bream chase fries. I took my friends visiting Sydney over to Harry's and threw in some chips to show them the bream. My buddy said you should make a lure like that. Now, we’ve turned that local legend into a serious lure.

Because sometimes, all it takes to hook a trophy fish is a chip off the old block.
