The ReproBaits Luderick Green Weed Bait Holder Leader uses a simple adjustable loop to gently hold green weed, string weed or lettuce weed close to the hook without having to bind the bait tightly around it.

Slide the wool stopper down until the weed is held securely, set your float depth, and get back to watching for that slow disappearing float.

Because when the fish are biting cautiously, the bait should be the thing they notice — not the rig.

MADE FOR GREEN WEED FISHING

Each leader is hand tied from one metre of light 6 lb monofilament and fitted with a genuine #6 Mustad green Needle Sneck hook.

The green hook sits naturally amongst weed bait, while the light leader helps give the bait the subtle presentation luderick anglers are looking for around estuaries, harbour edges, rock walls, pontoons and bridges.

The adjustable bait-holder loop sits close to the hook.

Put a small bunch of weed through the loop, then slide the wool stopper knot down until it holds the bait at the tension you want.

Green weed can be an excellent luderick bait.

It can also be frustratingly easy to lose.

The bait-holder loop gives you another point of support around the weed while still letting you control how tightly it is held.

Slide the wool stopper farther down when the bait needs a little more help staying together.

HOW TO USE THE LUDERICK WEED HOLDER

1. Add your weed

Place a small bunch of green weed, string weed or lettuce weed through the bait-holder loop near the hook.

2. Set the tension

Slide the wool stopper knot toward the hook until the loop gently grips the bait.

Don't crush it.

Just give it enough support to stay where you want it.

3. Connect the leader

Attach the loop at the top of the leader to your snap swivel or preferred float-fishing connection.

4. Add your shot

Use one or two small split shot as required to balance your float and suit the depth and current.

5. Set the depth and fish

Adjust your float until the bait is travelling through the water you want to cover.

Then watch the float.

Luderick rarely need to make a dramatic entrance.
