Use Vibe Lures For Australian Fishing Success

Freshwater and saltwater fish will hit LandCaster vibe lures. It's a very versatile piece of fishing tackle. Bass, Bream, Coral trout, Flathead, Grunter, Snapper, and Whiting are some of the most common catches for anglers around Australia. They are simple to use and are as easy to just reel them in. Tailor and similar fish can't chew it to bits like soft vibe lures.

Tie your LandCaster vibe directly to your fishing line. Don't use snap swivels. Tie directly to the split ring on the lure. If you are using braid it's recommended to use a length of fluorocarbon or monofilament leader between your vibe lure and your mainline. A clear leader will improve your chances of getting strikes on the retrieve. A leader shorter than your rod will keep the knot from going through the rod tip.

SINKS QUICKLY, MAKING IT A GREAT LURE FOR DEEPER WATER SCHOOLING FISH.

Cast and retrieve in quick rips and reels for fish like Tailor and Kingfish. For Flathead and Bream a slower up and down retrieve is more effective.

Fish caught on vibes: Bream, Bass, Bonito, Murray Cod, Gold Perch, Silver Perch, Jungle Perch, Whiting, Snapper, Kingfish, Morwong, Jewfish, Flathead, Snapper, Flounder, Tailor, Trevally, Salmon, Tarwhine, Mackerel.

What are Vibe Lures?

Vibe lures are fishing lures that are made to mimic injured baitfish. Injured baitfish are an easy meal for predatory fish you want to catch. Vibe lures work well in shallow water as well as deep water. Estuaries can produce a lot of quality fish all around Australia whether freshwater or saltwater. Fish can sense the vibration and it attracts them.

LandCaster Vibes have a wide range of colours for a wide range of species. There are many sizes of vibes available but LandCaster Tackle has chosen the 21 gram for the best all around producing hardbody vibe lure. Hook size has been chosen to balance between hanging up on every rock or branch in the territory and hanging on to the fish you just hooked. Nobody likes to throw a lure once and lose it to a snag. Nobody wants to lose every fish that hits it either. We have found a good balance with the two treble hooks' size.

  • 5 Colours available, Deep Blue, Lemon Blue, Gold, Copper, Fire, and White Lightning.
  • Sharp double size 8 treble hooks with soldered shank for extra strength.
  • 60mm Hardbody Vibe Lipless Crank Bait

How do Vibe Lures Work?

Vibes are easy to fish with. It can be as simple as casting out and reeling the lure back in. Vibe lures make more of a presence than soft plastic lures can. Soft plastic bait won't make the tight wobble that vibes make. You know it's working when you feel the vibe through the fishing line. Soft vibes work on the same principle and they work when fish want something more subtle. When you want fish to know your lure is out there use a hardbody vibe lure. Vibes are not the most subtle bit of fishing tackle.

How to use Vibe Lures for Fishing?

Like other hard body lures, there are several methods to use them. Keep your rod tip up but not too high. You want to feel the line vibrating but you want to be able to let the vibe sink during a pause in the retrieve. Let the rod tip down slowly when letting the vibe fall to keep slack line out and watch out for a line tick. Often fish will hit the vibe lure when it's falling. Set the hook immediately. This is why we don't want to keep the rod tip too high. You won't have leverage to set the hook properly, otherwise.

Vibes are perfect for fishing the estuaries when surface lures may not be producing.

Target the edges of structure like dropoffs, weed beds, rocky reef and sandy transitions. Pay attention to tidal flow and use it to your advantage by casting and retrieving so the vibe lure goes past hiding spots big fish stick to for relief from the current. This is a good tactic for catching big Bream around pier and wharf pilings.

FLATHEAD LOVE THE VIBRATING MOTION OF VIBE LURES. SO DO BREAM, BASS, AND JACKS.

Don't forget about the rips and gutters at the beach. They are literally all around Australia. This is a great place to pick up Tailor and Whiting. There are also way fewer snags on the beach. You might also hook into a Mulloway or a big Flatty. Look for rips and nearby gutters with deeper water access. They might even be right at your feet in a metre of water. Dusk and dawn are the best times for fishing shallow gutters.

Cast and retrieve LandCaster Vibes during the slack tide around structures like marinas, piers, and pontoons. Try around rock walls for deeper water fish too.

LandCaster vibes are great Bream lures and for Grunter on flats and rocky transitions. On the incoming tide cast out to the transition areas and bring it back slowly. Let it rest in long pauses for the shy biting Bream and Grunter to take it.

Can be fished in deep water over structure for reef fish or in the shallows. In the shallows, targeting weedy areas with open sand patches can produce Flathead and Bream.

Mangrove areas can also produce Grunters and Jacks. The occasional Snapper can be picked up around rocky shoreline outcrops.
