The Crakka Crab is built around one trick: when a real crab feels threatened, it rears back with its claws up. This lure copies that defensive posture and holds it — the claws float above the body on their own treble hooks, so it drifts down looking exactly like a crab bracing for a fight, and the trebles stay riding high and clear of the bottom instead of snagging on rock or shell grit.

That claw position does double duty. It gives the lure a slow, natural sink rate that fish get a long look at, and it keeps you fishing confidently tight to the structure crabs actually live in — pylons, oyster leases, mangrove roots, broken rock — without losing gear every second cast.

How to fish it

Let it sink on a slow bottom crawl to imitate a crab working the seabed, or cast up-current and drift it back past structure so bream and flathead holding in the current get a natural presentation. A twitch-and-pause retrieve gets the most out of the floating claws — work it, then let it sit and settle.
